Transport is one of the activities that generates highest CO2 eq emissions. In particular case Chile, it second economic activity greatest environmental impact. The safe and efficient transport products in domestic foreign markets often carried out with help pallets made various materials, such as wood or plastic, which goes hand different performance their production. That why important to know carbon footprint these products. objectives this study are compare value generated by local production wooden plastic evaluate variations its quantification using software. For purpose, Chilean market taken a reference. This follows main guidelines ISO standards reference framework. functional unit 1 pallet produced system boundary from cradle gate. results show have an average 4,12 kg 38,85 respectively. difference between two mainly due load raw materials. causes variation estimation software specifically based on databases they can work. ratio 1:9 concerning provides data for decision making.
